Kulturschool is looking for a Leader

Kulturschool aims to enrich, touch, and influence in various ways. This applies to you as an individual student in the voluntary activities as well as the entire compulsory school activities and cultural life in the municipality.

Kulturschool offers:

• Dance from age 6 (preschool class)
• Instrumental teaching from age 9 (grade 3)
• Film, Create music with a computer, Singing, and Theater from age 10 (grade 4)

There is no upper age limit, but students in primary and secondary school are prioritized.

Our activities are located here:

• The various primary schools around the municipality
• Kulturschool's premises on Gärdesgatan in Torsby
• Kulturschool's dance studio in Ekeby at Frykenskolan.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Leader of Kulturschool, you have overall responsibility for the operations. The assignment includes:

• Strategic and operational development of the kulturschool.
• Collaboration internally (preschool, primary school, student health) and externally (associations, cultural actors, Region Värmland).
• Further development of the kulturschool's breadth and accessibility.
• Being a visible representative for the kulturschool and contributing to good dialogue with guardians and actors in Torsby.
• Budget and personnel responsibility for the kulturschool's operations.

The position is permanent at 50% and may involve evenings/weekends during performances and events. There may also be opportunities to combine this position with another position in the municipality.

A criminal record extract according to SFS 2000:873 is required prior to employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant education in aesthetic activities, pedagogy, or equivalent competence.
• Experience in collaboration across operational boundaries and driving development processes.
• Confident, clear, and trustworthy in your leadership.
• Solution-focused and relationship-building.
• Child and youth perspective in all decisions.
